Run SEOBetter from your AI assistant.

Three steps

1. Install the SEOBetter Agent add-on. In WordPress, open SEOBetter, then Settings, and click Install the SEOBetter Agent add-on in the AI assistants box. It needs an active SEOBetter Pro or lifetime licence and WordPress 6.9 or newer.
2. Install the free WordPress MCP Adapter. Plugins, Add New, search MCP Adapter, install and activate. It is published by WordPress.
3. Create an Application Password in your WordPress profile (Users, Profile, Application Passwords), then add your site to your assistant:

Your endpoint is shown in the AI assistants box in SEOBetter settings. Who may publish follows WordPress roles: the Application Password belongs to a user, and that user's role decides.

Bots that run on their own (Grok and others)

A bot that runs on a server, with nobody at a keyboard, connects with one bot key instead of a username and password. In WordPress open SEOBetter, then AI bot access, create a key and copy the ready-made block.

• Daily limits: articles per day, keyword research calls per day and post edits per day (50 by default), set per key.
• Drafts only or Publish: start on drafts only, read what the bot writes for a week, then let it publish.
• Acts as one WordPress user, so that user's role still decides what the bot may do. Revoke a key at any time.
• Safe by design: the key only works on the MCP connection, only over HTTPS, and only while your licence is active.

Grok (xAI API)

Add this to the tools list your agent sends to the xAI API. SEOBetter fills in your site and key for you.

Give it the endpoint URL and the header Authorization: Bearer followed by your bot key.

What the assistant can do

40 tools (up to 50 with WooCommerce, bulk generation and the Keyword Research add-on), the same ones the SEOBetter screens use: write new articles with every Generate option, improve the posts you already have, keep a brand voice, and rewrite WooCommerce product descriptions.

Give your bot a routine

Three ready-made routines tell a bot exactly which tools to use, in what order, and when to stop.

• Improve my old posts: Takes the lowest scoring posts from the to-do list, optimises up to 8 of them and reports the old and new score for each. Needs a bot key in Publish mode.
• Write today's post: Finds the strongest keyword you do not cover yet, writes one article with recommended settings and your brand voice, and saves it as a draft.
• Weekly health check: Looks for stale posts, overlapping posts and site problems, changes nothing, and reports what to fix first.
